2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission dss with the front frame mount trailer hitch?

have a 2001 2500 and wondering how a dss steering stabilizer would/will work whith the front frame mount hitch on?appears they both look like they bolt to the same area. need that front hitch for my edie 5th wheel boat rack. anybody delt or modified one of these to fit?

Not for a front hitch, but I encountered the same problem installing the DSS and 3rd gen trackbar frame mount and had to fabricate a new and very stout snowplow mount for the driver's side. The passenger side was OK.

You will just have to assemble things and find the problems and get creative with your welder and steel stock.

The biggest problem I had was a DSS that did not even come close to fitting with or without any other bracketry. The one I bought was very poorly made.

With time and patience, and plenty of cutting and welding, all the components fit and work well.

I have 2001 with front hitch and dss. I installed them a long time ago. I don't remember any major install issues. If a picture would help let me know.

I too have had both a DSS and front hitch mounted for over four years. The only thing I did was get a little longer mounting bolts to make it easier to get everything lined up and fitted properly. Other than that it works great.
