Tim IMO there are many factors that contribute to the wandering, but by all means the DSS is a definite install that well help in the long run. In my case I felt the difference when I installed it, and that seems to be the consensus here. Can't tell ya about the lukes link but the DT trac bar is also a must. Good luck.

If you do a search, you will generally find a 100% improvement on handling and very satisfied customers!

I'm one of them!

I installed my DSS at 27K or so. No significant improvements, but from what I can tell, I believe it depends on the type of mlles driven and how many. Higher mileage trucks seem to experience the most improvements.

I hope over the long-haul, it will keep things tighter.

But as mediccummin said, there are many things that contribute. I had the trackbar replaced BEFORE the DSS and that made the most improvement. Then about 7000 miles later, I'm wandering all over the road again. The dealer said trackbar was OK, but found out the intermediate steering shaft was waay out of spec. They put a new one in (under warranty) and it drove really nice again. All this was done prior to 36,000 miles. Kinda dissappointing all these things wore out so fast. And most of my driving is empty, in-town.

I called Rip Rook. He has the DSS for $175. 00 to your door. He shipped it right out. It is easy to put on. It feels like a new truck now. I installed a new bar along with it and a steering damper.

I recommend the DSS!

I got my DSS directly from Solid steel and they were extremely helpful on the phone. The DSS did help a great deal. I also put in a new steering box and in the past six months I have put on Lukes links, Poly bushings, new tie rods, new track bar, new u joints, new ball joints, (two front end alignments because one made no differance at all)

The dss and lukes links helped a great deal but gues what, the Truck still wanders like crazy. It sure feels like the caster is off like when you lift a leaf spring jeep with just shackles. I saw the specs on the alignment sheet and they are just where they should be according to one of the posts that has been left by a dodge truck alignment technitian. I am ready to get in there and increase the caster till it feels rite. One other thing, the truck returns to center from a left turn much better than from a right turn???
