My truck died yesterday and I have to work tomorrow! 2003 Ram died while getting off the freeway yesterday. Start and run for 10 - 15 seconds and then dies. Trouble code reads "low voltage detected at the fuel lift pump". Does this mean my lift pump has gone out?

2003 Ram Turbo Diesel 4WD, Smarty Tuner, Magna Flow exhaust, AFE intake.

what code # is that?

Check your ground connections, battery cables, plug at lift pump, etc...

how many miles on your truck, is it the stock lift pump?

once that is done loosen up the banjo on the output side of your filter, assuming stock, see if you are getting fuel.

I wouldn't recommend trying to run the truck until you get it sorted out, you could kill your pump. Assuming you haven't killed it already that is the difference between a few hundred and over a grand.

good luck.

I would do as suggested. But the ECM sends voltage to the lift pump so you mite want to clean off the ECM/lift pump connectors with a contact cleaner(You mite be having problems with the ECM).

On the Common Rails a bad lift pump won't take out the CP3 pump.

Pump could be shorting out creating low voltage . My bet is on the lift pump they go out after 50k mine went at 78k. If you are under 100k this will be covered under the 100k engine warranty you don't pay a deductible for this

Ahh, does the transfer pump go "hummm" when you bumped the starter?

If so... troubleshoot for good fuel pressure.

If not, or if it only runs for a second or so, bad transfer pump.

What was the solution?

I'm sure you've sorted this out by now (my guess is lift pump or fuel filter) but for future reference, I've had lift pumps hmmmm like they are working but not have any output. Easiest thing to check/change is the fuel filter as that's only $15 and 10 minutes before diving into the lift pump which is more of both money and time.
