I just got my transmission back in last night that I rebuilt myself. Oo.

I have the pressure gauge hooked up to the accumulator port. I'm wondering what pressure i'm supposed to be seeing. The packet says that i'm supposed to have a paper with a part number on it. Which paper would that be? Also, any information on what pressures to expect and what the gauge is supposed to do?

I drove it around a little last night. Never drove it fast enough to get out of first gear though. I was just in the yard and it was pretty foggy. So far I can tell it is one heck of a setup! Even just in first gear. :p :D It's amazing how the truck twists when you drop it in gear with the brakes on. Also how it coasts around 8-9 mph. :D

The best way to do a pressure check is to put one gauge on the line pressure port and one on the accumilator, the line pressure will be there once it is in gear, the accumilator pressure won't be there till it picks up 3rd gear.

Which port is the line pressure port?

I have the gauge hooked up to the accumulator port (middle of the main three) and thought that is where you check line pressure. It registers in all gears except reverse... . and is in the line pressure range. Would there be a better port to check at?

Another thing is that I can't notice much of a 1-2 shift, although it seems to be there. Is this normal or is there something that I should adjust?

Another question is how often do I have to let the truck idle before putting it in gear? What is the length of time that it is safe to start your truck up and put it in gear right away?

I'd give Bill a call but I hate to bother him on his day off. :-laf

I do have to say that the truck is a whole different truck. It's different, but the transmission feels more solid than before. No delayed shifts with rpm increases between shifts, no jumping out of O/D off lockup when the pedal is down and the rpms get up... . what else can I say. I just want to take the truck out and have fun, but maybe I should take it easy? What is the recommended way to treat the trans during breakin?

Guys, actually the center port is the accumulator/line pressure.

The front one is the 2nd gear servo.

Rear is of course the rear servo = reverse and manual low.

I'm a dealer of his so best to call and ask Bill.

Feel free to PM me.

I think I answered my own questions today. They also helped solve some of the problems that I was facing.

This transmission rocks! :D :--)
