Is DTT offering everything that they have for the 47re vs the new 48re?



Anyone w/ a killer DTT 48re? opinions? advise? etc.....

So is TDR member "inarush76" . He DTT'ed his '03 HO/48RE with less than 1K miles on it. I drove his '03 with the DTT improvements... awesome! The "tight" torque converter is great! Gotta have one... I'm saving up my $$!



He also DTT'ed TDR member SteveG's '03 HO/48RE about a year ago and he is very pleased with the results.

Yes everything for the 47RE is also avaliable for the 48RE. The 48RE is better in that it is capable of more pressure from the valvebody. TRUST ME! you'll love it!!

Well I can tell you that it is well worth the $$$$. I followed Floor It home from Muncie this year, he had a fellow members truck on a flatbed gooseneck on the back of his 03, and I was in the wifes EMPTY 02 and had to keep the foot on the floor to keep up. As far as I can tell, it had no problems putting it to the pavement. And believe me I have spent enough time starring under the hood of that truck, it's not lacking too much there, so there is a enough power to break it loose and it still hasnt.....

The prices are comparable to the 47re and depends on how tough you want the 48re to be. He recomends the lower mileage you get the transmission to him... the better. If i moved to California I'd still hire him to upgrade.

I second that, I had my 47re rebuilt by Scott a couple weeks ago. The prices are scary, but it's well worth it.



My stock transmission, while appearing to be as fine as a stock transmission ever is, had a machining defect that was destroying the rear band and drum. It was just luck that I went to Scott in the nick of time. Much longer and my truck would of been stranded.



As soon as I pay off the transmission a TST will be on the way.
