What size tires are you running?
I'm running 245/85 Range E's. It's taller and skinnier than stock, but hauls a load extremely well - and it cuts down through the snow and mud well too. It's the best over-the-road tire I've used yet.
I also went with the new upgraded parts that weren't available when I bought a while back. I can't feel any difference in performance with the new oem replacements, but I'm confident that they're doing their job and helping prolong the trans.
The 89H is better on smoke (4580' altitude) and launch and spool-up. True, true, true.
I've learned, however, that for my style of driving I really like the 91% better. I took Bill's word in changing to the 89h and what he told me is absolutely true AND the 89h is a very solid transmission - I don't think it's bad in any way.
I just like the 91's performance over the 89H for my preferences.
Now about the DD Crank and 93%... ? Please tell me more!! How much does one of the re-designed DD cranks run $? Seems to me that working the crank would significantly help with heat, air, power, smoke, etc, and still leave you with a very "drivable" truck IE few side affects and power out the wazoo! I'm I right? Tell me more.
Also, DieselPowerKid, It's good too see you back on-line (We need your input and help)!!!! I hope everything's going good with your new job!!!
