Well, its in. Went up and had James put in a complete DTT transmission with a 89% TC in. To say there is a difference is an understatement. No more pushing down on the acc. and just hearing noise, now you go! Don't have to push down very hard either. Now comes the questions. I know I need the 3K gsk, but what will help with the lag when you first start off? It's still way better than before, but it could sure be better. I don't want a hot rod, but what would help with the start without running the egt out of sight. I'm sure there is someone that will have some ideas. This is a work truck and I tow heavy. Have a job set up for later in the week to move a large tractor, 22,000 lbs. Will put it to the test then. Any ideas or comments would be appreciated.

Well I was waiting on your first post, yes the difference is overwhelming. You will need the 3k's as I'm sure Jmes told you and if your stock put some plate in it, at least a 250 or so then play with the AFC and star wheel to get rid of the lag. As mine sits right now I can be idling at 750 floor it and be at max boost in 2 seconds or so, you will learn to drive it in time but the 89 likes some power. Post back when you pull that load I'm interested, also an unlock switch would help you if you don't already have one.

my 89% feels great with the #5 (270/675) plate slid all the way forward. soon i may go to a #4, i am starting to get used to the power. isnt it nice being able to put your power to the ground.
