I just had a DTT 91% TC and VB installed by Massdiesel and Moparmuscle this past Saturday, all I can say is WHAT A RIDE:D :D

I want to thank Massdiesel (Scott) and Moparmuscle (John) for all of the work they did! The installation went smooth (at least from my vantage point, you know, supervisor:) ).

I went to meet these guys about 3 weeks ago when they were installing DTT products in Todd's truck (don't remember his handle). One of the best things anyone can do that may be thinking about TC & VB upgrades is to test drive someone elses truck. My wife and I were able to test drive Todd's truck (which only had 1800 miles on it), Massdiesel's dually (set up for tow), and Moparmuscle's truck (set up in Leer jet mode I believe... ... ... INSANITY:D :D ). Test driving these trucks sealed the deal, I ordered the May special from DTT (it was May) and upgraded to DD II's, and super-deep Mag-Hytec pan, DD 4" exhaust and DD/Autometer gauges in triple pillar.

I installed everything but the trans stuff and Massdiesel helped with the injectors.

I (like many others), am completely happy with the products I received from both vendors and I'm especially pleased with the expert installation by Massdiesel and Moparmuscle. If you are in the Northeast and are going to BOMB, send them an e-mail.

Sorry so long, but I wanted my fellow TDR members to know about my experience with the above mentioned.

GEORGE!!!!!,

Welcome to the Happy Bombers Club. Talked to Scott (Massdiesel) last week late and he said you were getting done this weekend. Far Out! Looks like I might have to get the bigger injectors just keep up!

Congrats to all involved. :D :D Ain't it fun... ... ... ?

George, update your signature, hehehehe.

Ramafid

Are you having any other go fast goodies installed??

BTW, I'll be there early for the 500 mile fluid change.

Andy you WILL enjoy the ride home:D The change that Bill's components make is indescribable:D :D

Have a safe trip here.

Anybody close by?

I'm hoping my question doesn't get lost in the mix here... . But it seems like the perfect place to post the question.

Who has a DTT TC/ VB living near Philadelphia, PA? ... . Will'n to let me test drive their truck?

My intention (ASAP) is to have John & Scott install a DTT TC / VB.

But I'm not sure if I should go for the 91% or 93%. Reason being, I like firm shifts. I don't need no stink'n Caddylac shifts.

At the same time, I don't want knee jerk, teeth rattlin shifts either.

Maybe best of all, I plan to compliment the setup with DDIII's and their "black box", plus a set of banjo bolts. Naturally to include boost, transmission temp and pyro gauges. .

What do you think? Any thoughts?

Should I upgrade the fuel lines right away? If so, does someone make a nice kit?

DM--what are you lookin for in the way of lines--just the -6 upgrade from hardline right before the pump to the VP44 or from the tank to vp44 and what size---Brandon makes up the -6 lines from hardline to VP44-his new email is -- email address removed -- --chris

I had the DTT 91% TC & VB (setup for towing) installed. The shifts are firm without being too harsh or too lame. You are definately aware when the shifts happen. I believe John's truck has a 93% and DDIII's. As far is which is better for you, ?. I guess it all despends on what you are planning to do with the truck, tow, race, next generation space shuttle:D ? Scott and John can help you better with that.

Hope this helps.

George

Happy BOMBing:D

Update!!

Many thanks to John for taking the time over the phone to discuss my expensive plans. Further solidifying why I'm driving 6 hours for a transmission upgrade.

Here is what we came up with:

DDII's,DD Box, 91%TC/VB, lock-up clutch upgrade kit, Banjo Bolts.

All complimented by Autometer (transmission temp/boost/pyro) gauges and Maghytec pan.

I think this will be the ticket for me.

Best of all, John is planning to attend a mopar show in my area, so I will hopefully get a chance to drive his truck the week before.

Deezal Man-

Sounds like a great setup, you will not believe the difference in power:D

If you drive John's truck, I hope you have a good grip:D :D One good press of the go pedal and your catapulted into the truck bed:cool:  :D

Keep us updated after you get BOMBed

George

Batman, I don't have any modifications as of yet. I decided to do the trans first , gauges second, and more power third. I don't want much more power, just something in the 40-60 hp range and 100-125 lbs of torque. Trying to decide between injectors or box. I'll arrive friday evening and Scott and John will dig in first thing saturday morning. Look forward to meeting you.
