i have never found dtt to be anything but help full period. they have gone out of there way in the past to help me through any problem that i have had. not to say that there are not that many vendors out there that will bend over backwards to help you out like bill has done in the past for me. i usualy get you must of done something wrong. or i dont know how you broke that. now if you called with a stupid question and you have all the answers the you got the answer you deserved. i have seen the pumps and cases that bill is talking about and the surfaces suck. and if you call dtt and ask him what converter should i use i will figure that he will sell you a single and tell you that you dont need a tripple. unless your making big power. just my $. 02 ED

it's been awhile but....

last year i drove up to Abbotsford and had them work my truck over, new everything in the transmission, their computer, exhaust brake, billet input shaft, and a couple of other items that i can't remember, but let me tell you... there product is the best for my truck and heavy trailer, i don't even look at my transmission temp guage anymore, {just the coolant}and i love the shifts, and the new power of the engine i had increased, it's "wood" worthy!!!!!

my opinion only, they are the best... .

thanks

so if i understand correctly the whole point of this post was just to get a cheap shot in on a respected aftermarket vendor ...

impressive ...

Sure, if that is how you read it. I saw on DTR the post and remember answers I got from DTT when I asked about a billet cover and triple disk last year. I was verifying on here about it. I was pretty much told that these items are junk. They make up for other inadequacies in the transmission. So if you think it is a cheap shot feel free. If you want to say DTT is the greatest stuff in the world to make you feel better about the money you spent that is fine too. Bottom line I was treated like crap when I talked to DTT, I was told I didn't know what I was talking about, please read the whole post. The DTT coming out with the triple just makes me feel even better about my decision. Since I know of Goerend convertors holding over 900 HP.

Peter:

This is something I always admire about you, you are not afraid to admit when you may have been wrong. You always go back to the drawing board and start over until you get the correct medicine for the problem. It just takes others alot longer to figure this out. When your product is outdated you update. Single disk clutches were good for awhile but your multiple disk is better now. Keep up the good work Pete. Zstoken what you say is true it was said to me to. (We are just a bunch of American cash cows). Please dont ask about this phrase.

Not wanting to start a war but a little study of the history on this topic will reveal the cheap shots were taken years ago against the vendor that set the trend that this vendor in question is just now starting to recognize as viable. Go read the web sight of this vendor who is just now recognizing the multi disc. Their web sight and the trashing of the multi disc is there for everyone to see. After you read those threads condemning the multi disc the hypocrisy will be evident. Personally I am still waiting for the extra discs in my converter to eat through the front cover and the extra weight of the billet TC to take out the rear main bearing.

This is just my opinion and I pay to post it here.

ROFLMAO!!! :-laf :-laf :-laf

This reminds me of the good old transmission wars! Yes, I remember a certain vendor making those statements. I also remember their backers jumping in and stating how great the vendor's products were and how happy they are and how anyone questioning anything about said vendor's opinion or products is of questionable character... Oo. Oo. :-laf

We are missing posts from one of the usual suspects, then it will feel more like the good old days... :D
