New Ats On The Way

Hello All, I am currently trying to install the smart controller and I have a question. I am a little confused about the toggle switch. Does this switch control power to the smart controller and if so what is the purpose of the red 12 volt "key on" power to the controller. It looks to me like there will be two 12 volt sources to the controller. I also thought that maybe the toggle switch would be used to control power to the exhaust brake (I don't have one installed yet).

Could somebody take a minute to try and let me know how to wire up the toggle switch (or not).

Thank you for your time, John.

I believe that the trans will not operate correctly if you pull the power plug on the controller, unless you install the jumper in the harness. The switch allows you to turn the controller off without inserting the jumper.

We just go back into the shop and saw this, the toggle must be wited in and the 12 volt must be wired in. The toggle is the main power supply to the smart controller.

The other 12 volt power supply will allow the TC saver function of the smart controller to function independently of the smart controller system.

You need to wire them both, if you have any more questions please feel free to call Bill at the shop , we can give you a hand.

Thanks guys,

I hooked up both 12 volt wires and everything works like a charm. Thank you both for your help, John.
