My dtt transmission just started acting up. It seems to get stuck in first gear, the first time I accelerate after starting the truck. After that it is back to normal. I park it come back a few hours later and it will do it again. transmission has 90k since it was rebuilt. I haven't heated it up or done any drag racing in quite a while. Fluid is full maybe even 1/2 quart too full. I thought about adjusting the bands but It shifts just fine after the first start. Any Ideas?

sounds like a hydraulic seal problem. maybe the lip seals are leaking until it gets a little warm and expands.

Why not contact Bill or Stephan at DTT and ask them? I am sure they will have an answere or sugestions on what to do.

Ditto - 90k since rebuild or not I'm sure Bill, Stephan or someone will help you out. Possibilty the cable could need to be tweaked. Mine used to hold 1st too long until I was able to get it back to Tim in Va. Beach for some fine tweaking. Also, mine needed the trans PC reflash too. Keep us posted.

My stock transmission would act the same way, ended up being the governor solenoid and wiring harness in the transmission were bad. Replaced and has run fine since.

Scott, I will give you a call. I just wanted to see if it was something simple before I bothered the DTT guys. Thanks.

Kevin, post back on what you find out!

Mine use to do this when I was on the road and let it set for several weeks, without a doubt the first drive it would do this, so I would pull it back in and check the voltage from the regulator and it would be all over the place... ... bad signal. Then it would just clear up, did this also when it got real hot under the hood. I moved my regulator to the inside of the cab and it worked better and is still fine. Now if I can just lick the TPS issues!
