DTT stuck in third!

I just got my mack daddy, full billet Dtt auto professionally installed in my 2003 HO dually 4x4. My brother and I installed the volt regulator and the noise filter and now the dang thing is stuck in third. Sometimes it will down shift to first if you put it there manually sometimes it wont. It will not downshift or upshift on its own. I am fairly certain that the filter and volt reg. were installed properly. Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance.

the governor solenoid can cause that problem. does it ever go into overdrive?

Sounds like limp mode to me.



Was there a resistor added anywhere? It fools the PCM to think that the valvebody is running stock line pressures. I know the 2nd gens need the resistor. Mine has one.

It never goes into overdrive. I also failed to mention that i played with the voltage reg. from its lowest setting on up... no change.

Bad voltage regulator or governor solenoid.

Can anyone elaborate on the governor solenoid, I know nothing about it?

Mine done that at first and the installer had to pull one of the transmission relays and put a jumper wire there, give Bill K a call I'm sure he can walk you through it.

Call DTT and talk to anyon who answeres. They are great and stand behind there products 100 percent. 90,000 miles on my

























Call DTT and let them know what the problem is. TYhey will take care of it. I have 90,000 miles on mine and couldnt be more happy. Their customer service is beyond reproach.
