I just completed a coast to coast trip of 8,500 miles, the last 5,500 of which I had my slide-in camper on board. The additional weight was barely noticeable (12,500 lbs on the scales in NJ). Many comparable C-class motorhomes couldn't keep up on the long uphill grades along I-40. The DTT intelligent exhaust brake paid for itself on some very long downgrades also on I-40, the most memorable -

Shifting up and down is demonstrably better and I've said it before and it's worth saying again - this is how they should always leave the factory IMHO.
Acceleration is brisk, and you're right in the Cummins power band, putting more useable bhp through the rear wheels, rather than losing it in the transmission, especially with European diesel prices to consider!!
In my part of the world this is referred to as a "no-brainer". I don't think a translation is required
