I just picked up my truck after having a shop install a new DTT TC and now have a vibration at idle that was not there before. The vibration isn't bad but quite noticeable. It goes away by 950 rpm and is present in park, neutral or any gear. The only thing changed was the TC as I'm going to do the VB myself this week. It's Sat. now and I wont be able to get Bill K until Mon. so I was wondering if any one else has had this and is it normal. Thanks.

It is not normal to have a vibration in neutral or park , this usually indicates loose converter bolts or converter out of balance.

As a general rule of thumb, if the vibration gets worse as the rpms come up, it is the tc.

If the vibration smooths out as the rpms go up, it is generally loose bolts, or cracked flex plate.

Email me your home phone # to -- email address removed -- and i will call you tomorrow as it is already 10:15 west coast time .

Just an update. Bill K. called ME, on Sunday of all days, to talk about my problem. Try getting that kind or support from most of the other venders out there. The solution was to unbolt the TC from the flexplate, rotate it 180 degrees and bolt it back up. The slight imbalances canceled each other out and every thing is happy again, especially me. Next attempt is to install the VB  . Thanks to everyone for your help.

just an another example

of the 24/7 customer service from Bill K and DTT

BTW, Bill started DTT because of his work ethics, he believes everyone has a right to work 24/7 ;) gotta love it! :D

Great belief Bill :)

Thanks for the support Bill
