What are the pros and cons of a 89% DTT Torque Convertor for use in city driving? Also what is a used one worth with about 15,000 miles on it. It was on a 1990 Cummins.

No cons - they are very good converters and will definitely improve city manners. As far as price... they either work or they don't, they don't really wear out. I have one in my truck and when I go to convert to a 5-speed and I go to sell the automatic the ad will read like this: 'DTT converter with an attached A-518 transmission'. I want a 5-speed, but until then I wanted to upgrade the transmission as best I could without having it rebuilt.

Also, DTT doesn't market their converters by 'percentage use' any more (ie, 89%... 91%). They are each built to the specs you want - city, hauling, race, towing, whatever your preferances are. You will have to call them to discuss your driving style, truck weight, etc, and they will built it to your specs. Stock converters are around 65%, btw.
