I got my truck back on Friday. Left shop with secound gear shift sideways  . This is the best thing I've done to the truck as every one states. Truck finally shifts like it should. Downshift is a little aggesive put wouldn't trade. I can't wait after the 1000 miles brake in. I also added a Ramifier the same day. Why not. I'm not sure what I think about this. Truck seems to surge when the box calls for more fuel at a steady speed on the highway. Man this box pulls down the fuel pressure.

If your not sure about the money it costs for the DTT, JUST DO IT! You won't regret it.

i too had a ramifier that surged on the highway. went through three or four of them. finally got a ez and injectors from scott. much better. just need a bigger turbo now :D ..... james

As a diesel newbie, I'm trying to absorb as much info as possible. I would love to add an Edge Juice w/ Attitude, but most people advise that our auto transmission's can't handle it. What does the DTT cost? Where is the best place (price and service) to purchase one? Will this be sufficient to add the Edge?

Would an upgraded Torque Converter be sufficient (rather than a full transmission)?

I'm not a hardcore racer... just would like to have the power on tap if a Ferd or Chebby is next to me at a light :)

Thanks for the replies.

I am also curious as to what the DTT transmission costs and is the TC the only thing that needs to be changed or is it the entire transmission? I just installed the Edge Juice w/ attitude and will be sending it in for the HOT upgrade next month and am starting to wonder if I shouldn't do transmission work or wait for the inevitable.

What about ATS vs DTT. I live close to ATS so that would be easier or will this question cause too much contraversey.

You need to talke to a DTT installer and he can advise you on what you need to do to the transmission based on the power you plan on running through it. It you dont want any limits get ready to shell out some coin!!!! I did everything but the billet shafts. I dont want to be a drag race king. I just wanted to tow my scout and play a little. As everyone has said its the single best mod I have ever done!!!
