I just finished installing the DTT Trans Enhancer and it does all that is advertised and my fellow TDR members are correct with their hype of it! It smoothened everything out and will for sure enhance towing, very nice product,



Two Questions if I may:



1. The green light blinks for roughly 5-8 seconds after start up, is this normal and if so why. On the 180 deg side of it if it is not then what could be the issue.



2. Will electronically increasing the line pressure, as this product does, harm my 48RE in any way

If DTT sells it, it will NOT hurt your trans. If you have questions call Bill or Stefen & your questions will be answered.

The blinking is the box doing its internal test. No worry.



It raises pressure in the trans to HELP the operation of the trans.
 
The increased line pressures in the transmission are to PREVENT damage by keeping the clutches from slipping.

If all of the internal seals are in normal condition, that is not dried up, then there will be no adverse issues with the higher pressures.
 
Shift Enhanser

Increasing your trans line pressure can hurt your trans if you have cross leaks or bad seals. Keep in mind that the 48 does have inproved sealing rings compared to the 47 re . The shift enhanser does not increase your line pressure. If it is 125 from the factory it will remain 125 with the enhanser.



What the shift enhanser does is deal with the bottom end problems of the 48RE . If your trans is hunting back and forth 1 - 2 , you are going to hurt your transmission it does not matter who's transmission it is be it factory or aftermarket.



You guys have to remember , you have to make sure your electronics are good, the shift enhanser will not fix the hunting if it is electronics that are bad.



It's primary function is to give you later shifts under light throttle which in turn will help your transmission to live longer.
 
Stephan, how about the noise filter for 2-3 hunting. Is this completely different or kinda the same ? A fix all ? This is the first Ive heard of a 1-2 issue rather than being cable related. Thanks--Proflow
