I recently replaced my HRVP44. Ever since i replaced the pump, the transmission seems to shudder really bad when driving at constant 50-60MPH. It used to do it before about 45-50 just had to hit the OD button. It still shudders at 45-50 but also does it at higher speeds. if it is 60 or higher or under a load it is fine. Any ideas would be helpfull.

Best recommendation is to call Bill or Stephan @ DTT, they'll give you the straight poop.

Mine did the same thing around 35-40 then when I upgraded the turbo it changed to 40 - 45. Since yours changed after the VP replacement I'm betting it has to do with the fuel at certain load situations and not related to the trans at all. Just noticed you're running a 66 and Mach 7s I'm almost certain the shuddering is fueling and not trans. At low speed + loads the engine is just chugging along and not in the "Happy" zone so it has to let you know and chugging is its way of doing this. The trans is not hunting or anything and is only relaying the message the engine is sending by supplying the drive line with the info. It's like having a std trans and leaving it in 3rd then just let the truck slow down to a point where the engine is trying to process the fuel but the speed is to low and then applying a bit of fuel will cause it to chug and then smooth out - the trans isn't doing a thing other than "transferring" the engine power - or lack of - to the rest of the drive line.

Give DTT a call and let us know what they share with you.
