91% vs 89%
Jacob082:: I installed the 91% converter initially on my rig, drove it for a while, towed with it a couple of times, and did not like it at all. Low end was not responsive enough for me, smoked like crazy, even with the HY turbo and stock injectors. I switched to the 89%, it much improved the trucks drivability, and allowed me to go to a HX turbo for more boost at critical towing RPMs. I also have to deal with high altitude, (6500 ft elevation) all the time, and EGT was killing me. The combo I have now rarely hits 1300F, even while pulling a grade. I'm happy as a clam...
