Talked with Bill K at DTT today about upgrading my transmission. He suggested two ways to go. The least expensive was to do the TC & VB but limit the hp icrease to 50 or so, the other was to get a 96’ core transmission and cannibalize it for better internal parts plus the TC & VB. As I understood it the first option was good to about 210hp or so, the second option would handle what the 2nd gen guys can throw at it. He said that on my 93 transmission the planetary carrier is aluminum and stands a good chance to fail above 210 hp.
What kind of HP increase can I expect from the 16cm2, PODs and pump timing?
Has anyone here done the upgrades with the 96’core parts? What do you think?
How many here are above 210 hp and still using the stock transmission?
The closest DTT installer to me is 4 hours away. Not too bad depending on how long the job takes.
