Had Fred Swanson give my truck the "DTT treatment" [89% T. C. ,V. B. ,Update kit] and also PE Comp and DD II's. Thanks to Fred and AZ Gear Pro for a great install job!It was a pleasure doing buisiness with Fred! Can't wait to tow with it. I will give a report when I do. As for now: PE on lower level = Afterburner, level 5 = Supercruise! The transmission puts the power to the ground!::D

Soooo?

What took ya so long? Don't ya love the look on the Bemmer drivers faces when you pull out to pass? DTT Rules! :D :D ;)

Driving is believing. What kind of temps are you guys getting while driving empty and pulling a load? My temp sending unit is in the double deep trans pan. Went and bougtht line for a 94 model that had the sending unit in the line but the new line was a lot smaller than what was on my 99 so I didn't put it on.

I appriciate you posting about the new DTT transmission work, but please be kind to the other people because were hurting inside cause we want it too. Driving or riding in an DTT truck is an experience in it's self, it leaves you to believe there is no need in lockup ever again, but I realize it has SOME purpose.

What did it cost for the 89%TC and VB Kit with install (Ballpark est. ) ? I would like to look into the transmission upgrade without the bombing that you did. I read a lot about this upgrade on the TDR but never hear what costs I am looking at. Also if the truck is still stock except for the DTT upgrade what kind of long term transmission longivity am I looking at with the upgrade?

Thanks

Cost:DTT TC $850,DTT VB $350,install labor $500,Update parts & labor $300,shipping $90, oil/fluids $40,total $2130. If I was sitting on the fence I'd want to know the cost, so if any one doesnt like me posting it so be it!Also warranty is 1year parts & labor,2nd year parts, unlimited milage!

I have my sender in the mag pan (regular mag pan not double deep) and quite frankly it's something. right now with temps in the 30's, I can't get my temps running down the highway empty over 100* In the summertime, running empty about 140* seems to be average. Pulling my trailer, with the converter unlocked, hammering it pretty hard with outside temps in the 95* range, the highest I got it was about 160*

Sure makes me all :D

Barry,

I just got the trans cooler line with the temp port and it looks to short to me also? I have looked at the line(s) on the trans a few times, they both look ALOT longer than the cooler line that I bought:confused: . Perhaps someone who has installed one of these can enlighten us as to how and where it goes?

Dave

Dave, I already took my line back to the dealer and got a refund. I can't remember the length of it compared to the ones on the truck, but it was only half the size in diameter.

danman, Mine hasn't gone over 100 degree's yet either, but only had the mods for a couple of weeks and it's been below 30 degree's since. Have not pulled anything yet either.

Get the transmission line for the 98^, the correct line would be for the snow plow package.

If you need one DTT stocks them www.dieseltrans.com

I drove Fred Swanson's truck an that thing rocks. I am waiting a little longer to get my upgrade. Need money... . Cant wait much longer... . I am going for the DDII's and the 91% tc and vb with upgrade kit(5 clutch pack instead of 4,some machining, and a new seal, and 2nd gear band... ) well worth the three hundred bucks. Let us know what you think... Im ready to pop just wondering
