Just wondering I know of three people off the top of my head. I currently have 91% TC... and going to a race TC and pondering the 93% race TC.

Does anyone have the 93% and 4. 10 gear ratio???

Ya I know you do..... and I been talking to Fred ..... but all y'all have 3. 54's. Just wondering if my truck will act differently. Fred said that TC and your cam work great together... .

Yep Eric that would be me. Whats up?

You have 4. 10's? How is your daily driving? And turbo lag?

I just couldn't recall off the top of my head anyone having the 93% + 4. 10s is all... ... .

Daily Drivability is good (Kinda tough at times in traffic when you are completely bushed) 'cause the truck fights the brakes a bit when you have intown brake fade. Lag ... ... ... when I has the lil' hy on it NO LAG drove like a gasser... ... . With the piers PDRHX35 and the Blue CHip FMC fueling @ 45%over out of 63 , Timing> wild, Smoke >Perf all on the blue chip a dead mat to the floor from a stop 2- secconds without Pre~spooling. VERY CONNECTED to the point where on the hiway throttle responce is INSTANT

Kat, count me in!

I had the very first (production) DTT 93% TC installed in my Ram. :D

... and I'm just as satisfied with my selection now as I was back on Saturday January 13th of 2001!

:D:D:D:D

Eric, ask Stefan. I'm sure your lag will be less noticeable than DD's and mine. Yes, the cam does make a huge difference in spoolup with a big turbo and big injectors.

Your truck is also lighter, what size tire are you running? I'm sure Mark's at DD and mine are runing the same BFG's 285's.

When I drove his before getting the cam, I was zeroing in on lag, and off the line power and smoke control.

Alot depends on where you run your box on everyday driving, too.

i has the very first pre production :p 93% tc ...

but i have 3. 54's and with a box stock HX40 lag was very prevelant , i learned to drive around it .

i'm going back to a 91% race unit , hope i'm not making a mistake ... if i am i'll just swap it back out .

or just pony up for a DD cam and their turbo :--)

HX40 and way tooooooo much fuel for me.

That truck is SCARY FAST... ... ... . It pulls from the bottom until you have to lift off the throttle. Fast fast fast.

Did everyone read this. Oo. Oo. Oo.

True enough Mopar-muscle however, I actually drove your TC before you did... in Bill's Ram! :D Based on that test drive, I solidified my decision to go with the 93% TC (against Bill's recommendation). Bill even went to all the trouble of reinstalling the prototype 93% TC in his Ram a few days before I arrived at DTT as I expressed interest in going with their "tightest" TC after many telephone conversations with him.

..... too big a turbo John, I went with the PDR HX35 Super Turbo with a modified Banks 14cm&sup2 turbine housing and couldn't be happier! Heck, I have 1 psi boost at idle!*:eek:

* measured with my SPA digital combination gauge after being zeroed (prior to starting the engine).

Well its ordered.

93% Race TC

Plus a few other things to freshen the transmission up.

I am being told by Keith and Bill, and Stefan... ... that once I put the DD cam in... . I will absolutly love this converter.

I smell 12's around the cornor.

Has anyone broke any of the cryo'ed shafts yet???

Hey Kat,

I assume that this has something to do with how fast the boost spools up with the new cam?

Yes I believe so, I just know they all said that with that combo its unreal... . so I'll take their word on it and give it a shot.

The scary thing is Kurt says he has a faster spooling turbo for me to try! That will be scary with the cam in there.

Kat

Ok this is just little me, but looking at the Video's of the DD truck in Vegas, he spooled it quick with the Cam and HX-40 so you should be there, he is also on a 5/10th's tree and he is lighting the second bulb before he spools it. Remember all, the gasser guys(on a 4/10th tree) start spooling on a low chip or power break before the first bulb with and auto, they then pull into the second bulb POWER UP and mat it on a second chip. I think DD had it all wrapped up on the video's, but Kat I've watched yours too via phone line... ..... wait... ..... and wait... ..... your techniques are great keep it up!

Thanks. I had to relearn to launch with the bigger turbo. I can't wait to see what Kurt has in store for me with his AT4 turbo. I am very anxious to get this transmission freshened up and use the new converter. And of course the cam... . can't wait for that. I just hope I can get the transmission stuff in before April 29th (leaving for May Madness). I don't think theres anyway to get it in before Tulsa... ... . but we'll see.

I would be courious to see if you've done any damage if any to the clutches on the freshin up. As far as Tulsa goes I may come up for the drags but I doubt I'll do the dyno day, I already have a base line and it will be a while before I do anything else and there too expensive for my blood at $75. 00 for 3 pulls, we just did Dallas at $40. 00 for 3 pulls. See ya in Tulsa!
