Allright Ive been away from this website for a while (working too much) and when I went to the links page and did a transmission search... where did DTT go why arent they listed anymore??? Dumb Question??? I hope not!

TDR removed them from the links. I made a stink about it but got nowhere. Apparently they don't care about members seeing all options as much as WHO PAYS FOR ADVERTISING HERE.

What a Shame!

Bill & crew have helped me (and others I'm sure) with advice & knowledge in the past with no sale involved. In fact Bill's talked me out of a sale before. They are currently working with me on a transmission now & it's a good feeling knowing that now I can possibly pay them back a little for what they have done for me in the past. There's a wealth of knowledge from them that will be truely missed if TDR has that position about them. Bill is passionate about what he does. IMHO that's a quality necessary in any field to excell. I can't speak for other companies & their support(haven't tried them) and I don't know if they are locked out or removed from the links. I just wanted to relay my experience with them. I know transmission threads can be volatile, but I can't help but feel the baby's getting thrown out with the bath water.

I too have been helped by Bill many times. A few times he has even talk me out of buying something from him. Stating I really didn't need it and he would talk me thought fixing what I had. At one weekend he even spent many hours on his cell phone talking me thought modifying my vb. That time it was because I needed a good vb and could afford to buy his.

When I noticed that DTT link was gone I complained. I was told it was removed because he wasn't a paying advertiser any more. Look at the links your self. I'll bet 3/4 of them are not paying advertisers. What ashame such a valuable source is now hidden for TDR Subscribers. :(

Bill K. has my total support when it comes to making Chrysler transmissions work the way they should regarding the price we pay for our trucks. I do understand TDR management and their right to charge for advertizement, but also feel readers will find the correct fix whether advertised or not. DTT rocks in my opinion.

From the last post on this:

For the most part, we set up links to TDR advertisers' websites, TDR members' website, TDR Chapters, and general information sources. And we do not normally delete old links to former advertisers if/when they discontinue their advertisements with us.

From time to time, however, it makes sense for us to delete old links. We went through this process about two months ago and did delete a number of old links (some that were no longer operational and some that were previous advertisers and organizations that we have not maintained a business relationship with through 2003).

I trust this will satisfy the question. You will see links come and go over time. We do not enforce a strictly black-and-white policy when it comes to links.

If you are specifically looking for Diesel Transmission Technologies (DTT), I believe they can be found at: http://www.dieseltrans.com/

I do realize this is a commercial site... But I still think that answer suck as much this time as last time.

On edit: Let me put it a little more polite. I am disappointed in that answer. STILL:(

How come everytime i read a DTT post there is always whining and argument about something. You guys say DTT is helpfull but i have seen countless times people from DTT arguing and being rude to other companies or people.

Just makes me wonder!

transmission still

I guess i agree with the fact that TDR reserves the right to add and remove whoever they want!!! Cause all in all Id miss TDR more if it was gone than id ever miss a transmission company??? I am considering ATS for an upgrade anyway IMO they are the best, the reason I questioned everyone is I wondered if they were still in buisness or if they were gone. In no way did I intend to upset anyone. Sorry fellas, Im callin ATS anyway... . thanks for your time!

MWILT, if you follow the posts closely, a few months ago a guy who has the ats trans was having problems and I was Genuinely trying to help him and who screams that I was violating the rules????

Yes , some ats fans.

I thought gee,. !!

I agree whole heartedly. My whole point here is that I don't believe that a know great source is not at least supplied a link. I would feel the same it it was ATS or any other source that makes a quality product to benefit the subscriber. Payed advertiser or not it is owed to the subscribers to give a link. There are write-ups, banner adds, and sales pitches that can be for the paying advertiser.
