Congrats Opie! It was good to meet you and the rest of the crowd. Super nice folks! Too bad you couldn't drag but maybe next time.

Yep those are some good numbers, not against any of you because I like you'll but here are the rules for my truck.

1. No Propane

2. No N2O

3. I'm not done yet!

Yee Doggy, Jim

The only thing is high HP on no 2 was 692. So the hp game was not with spray. At least the $ didn't go that way. Just for a real number, what is the HP without spray? Then spray and see the difference. I just don't see how you know where you are with the spray. In so far as to where you are with the adjustments. I would just like a before and after number. Still good nos.

Great job Opie. Those kind of numbers are going to end up making me spend more $$ to try and hang to hang with the big Dogs.

I would also like to think "Snow man" for having the parts to fix my truck. I also have to think Bill K, Chris Strickland,Cord and "Opie" dad for getting dirty at the fair grounds to fix my truck.

Thanks also to Stefan for showing me that my truck will do 12. 80's in the quarter mile.

Mine did 700. 1hp in September of '03 at the local dyno shop with SAE correction.

Rhonda,

Steve burned up his first gear clutches sled pulling when the sled operator put the breaks on the sled while he was trying to pull. Actually his dad was doing the driving in the rookie class. He let off when he launched too hard the first time and got back on it because the green flag was still out. When he got back on it the sled operator hit the brakes on the sled. So he got a tow to Canada via me :).

I ran the new truck out there and the best I could do without much tuning on the twins was 13. 51 @ 101. I finished the twins Wed. night at 10:30 and we left thursday morning at 2am (good thing opie was running late too). This truck defuels worse than my '02 so when I get that worked out and get the twins tuned up I know it will go in the 12's. It defuels at about 18psi of boost at the line if that gives you any indication of how bad it is. Massive surging ensues. I did run a 1. 8 60' though despite all the defueling. During brackets I removed the pressure box I was running and dialed a 13. 8. On the first pass it felt really strong and the guy I was racing (Trevor Wood) didn't cut a very good light so I let off and got on the brakes and went through at 14. 05 @ 77mph. The next round was similar but I raced Meachum (12. 50 dial) and we both broke out. I ran a 13. 62 @ 81mph (lots of brakes) and he ran a 12. 36. RT's were almost identical so he beat me by . 05. I dont feel so bad because he went to the finals and that was my first time dialing high with any truck and trying to fender race.

Thanks for the update Nathan. I've been following a bit of what happened to Opie; big bummer. :(

Good you got a chance to run the new setup and work some bugs out. How much does that truck weigh anyway?

Not a clue on the weight. I might have to find a scale to roll across though as I'm curious as well.

I dont know how many bugs I got worked out but the tuning will continue. Another interesting issue these trucks have is that they fall on their face at 105/106mph. I can see that being a issue in the not to distant future as well.

Are you going to go to Bandimere? I think I've got Opie talked into the trip and I believe Hoss and Fletcher are gonna make a go of it. Nothing like a PNW invasion of the rockies huh? There should be a couple of trailers available incase anyone has issues if your interested.

Chris,

I going to try and go. I dont know if the '02 will be back together by then but hopefully the 04. 5 will be tuned a little better before the event.
