First let me say I am new to this site, and I love it! I have had Dodge Diesel trucks for years, but my current truck is my first hi-po truck. I just pick up a 98 12V that the previous owner swapped in NV5600. It also has an EEP dual disk clutch. When I bought the truck the owner stated he needed to replace the clutch, as it was not working so well any more. After driving the truck for a few days here and there, my question is are there any adjustments for those type of clutches? Engagement seems to be near all the way out with the pedal, and getting into low gear/reverse is hard. It some times feels like there is a slight drag even with the pedal all the way in. But yet I can't slip the clutch even in high gear. The truck makes good power (plate, injectors, turbo) so I figured if the clutch was shot it would slip? I'm new to all this so any help would be great. Thanks!

Welcome to the TDR. :)

The clutches are actuated hydraulically, via a master/slave cylinder setup. May need to bleed any air that may be in the system.

You may try contacting Peter & South Bend Clutch. He had some master/slave cylinder clutch setups with adjustable robs a while back, not sure if he still has them?

By chance is this a Blue 98 12V Quad Cab Short bed 4x4? :-laf

Well... what do you mean by noise? I haven't really noticed any thing out of the ordanary, a little clatter when the pedal is out and trans in nuetral. I'll check a little closer today...

Yep... do you know any thing more about the truck???

That's my buddy Jessie's truck from Indiana. Really nice truck, if it had been a long bed I would have bought it for myself. He's always taken really good care of it. Did you buy it with my old ADP HX55 turbo?

Well it WAS his! It's got a 35 w/18cm non wastegated housing. I've got a new 40 for it but it's hitting 35#s so I'mnot sure if I should change it or not... . I'm really surprised at how well it revs, I just talked to him today he said it has stock gov. springs that are cranked down. Seems to pull great past 3K, I haven't had the nerve to go much more. Guess I'll have to spend some MORE time on here to learn up on that subject... .

OK I definately have noise with the pedal in. Kinda a "clinking" sound, not too loud. I think I'll call EEP on Monday and get some suggestions from them before I try to bleed the system. Thanks.

Mr. Diesel this is Jesse the one you bought the truck from the center floater plate is probably broke it broke once already on me and I replaced it that is why I said I was going to put a SBC DD in it. It used to rattle when the clutch was depressed now it does not becuase with the floater broken it does not allow total release of the disck hence hard to get in gear.
