OK guys I just put a SB DD 3850 clutch in my truck. I got the 12 valve slave and master to use but the actuator rods are different. I'll be honest, I let someone else put it in. What they did was cut the end off the 12 valve actuator and the other end off my original and welded them together. They said the rod is the exact length of the stocker (Mine).
What are you guys doing that do the slave swap in a 24 valve 5 speed? My clutch engages right near the floor and it's a little weird, I don't have a problem driving and it shifts fine, it's just weird. If you did this swap, do you have a low pedal? What about stock slave and a DD?
By the way my pedal effort feels just about like stock, I really can't tell a difference. Engagement is smooth but very quick, very little pedal movement and shes fully engaged. I've driven it very little so far, but I like what I see.
