Auto help needed

Hi All,

My EGT on my dual gauge quit working today. Is ther a way I can test if it is the gauge that is bad or the sensor. Any help is appraciated.

Thanks in advance!

Use a volt meter and measure the voltage across the two pyrometer wires. You will have to use the the lowest DC volt scale. I am not sure what kind of voltage it will put out, but my guess is about . 1 or . 2 VDC at about 300 degrees (idle temp)

If there is voltage at the pyro, then your gauge or wire is at fault.
