I left a question the other day but knowing computers; who knows where the question went.
I have a 2000 Dodge 2500 4x2 and I have only serviced since new and it now has 140K+ miles on it. I read a lot about lift pumps and have no desire to install a new injector pump due to lift pump failure. I was at NAPA the other day and in conversation the counter man said that his friend had a Dodge and pulled 30K lbs on a regular basis and had lift pump problems, so he put a second lift pump down by the fuel tank and has had no problems since.
Does "two lift pumps in line" sound reasonable? The counter person also says for $30 they have a LED light that will come on at about 3 lbs for the lift pump.
Your thoughts ? Oo.
