While I was in Colorado Springs, I saw a guy driving an El Camino that had what appeared to be a dual rear axle setup - that is, there were two tires in each rear wheelwell, merrily spinning along. The truck did not appear to be lifted or anything, couldn't get a glimpse of the pumpkin to see what kind of diff he was running.



Ever seen anything like that before? Any advantages to it, or just for looks?
 
There was a Surbuban near here I saw a couple of times that had a similar set up. Small added fenders on the side, very narrow, close together tires. Maybe one of the J. C. Whitney dually kits? I haven't seen it for a year or two...
