I know some of you may think I am a rebel, but I like dual, rear exiting tail pipes. I am wanting to have 4" from the turbo to somewhere out back and then have it split into dual 3" pipes. Is their a company that makes this?

Thanks,

Ben

Something like this, perhaps?

Here's what I had on my '98...

4" from the turbo to a collector, then split into dual 3" with 4" x 20" chrome tips. No muff. :D

Hello,I just did this not 2 wks. ago. I had Rip send me a system (4in. single) from turbo back to an Allied muffler(sounds good!) and a 4" to 3" "Y" pipe off of that. I took it from there to a local muffler shop to run my 2 seperate tail-pipes,which exit to the sides like the pic above. One note... I had to remove my spare as its really tight on the left (drivers) side on the short bed models! I have a rigid lockable bed cover,so I put my spare there. I ended up with more $$$ in it than I thought, but Im happy with the results. BTW- Magnaflow makes a 4" in/ two 3" out muffler, but it is near the same price as my Allied (Rips) and Y pipe combo, and the allied has a "deeper" tone that I was after! Hope this helps!

Evan,

Where did you get those lights for your tailgate? Ive onle seen them on 3500's? Would love to get a set for mine!

Getting the 3" pipe up & over the axle on the driver's side was tough... The clearances with the spare tire and shock absorber are tight enough to begin with, let alone with another pipe in there. You can forget about running dual 4"--its just not going to fit without removing the spare. Fortunately, I was able to keep my stock spare in its original location. Perhaps it is because it was a 245/75 tire, rather than a 265/75. Either way, it looked great and sounded even better. :D Spendy? Yep. Worth it? Yep.

Chris, you answered your own question! They are 3500 tailgate lights. You can buy the mounting bar and the wiring harness from Dodge, and the buy the lights for CHEAP at your local NAPA parts outlet. I get a lot of folks asking about them, and why my 2500 has the lights. When I sold the '98, I took them off and put them on my '01 :D

However, I did one thing different... Instead of using standard series 19 incandescent lights, I used some series 19 LED markers instead. They were kinda pricey, but they look WAY better than the other ones. Each one has 12 LEDs in it.

Evan,

The LED's. I have their last years catalog and I can't find the LED lights like what's on the 3500's. Are your LED's from NAPA?

Thanks

Chuck

How about dual 5" ?

If you are interested in a dual 5 inch set up, I can put you in touch with a guy that custom made mine. I can also try to post a picture if you are interested.

Dual 5" and 4" is too much. The circumfrince of a 4" pipe is about 12"+. The circumfrince of a dual 3" adds up to 18"+, so that's plenty for me.
