Good, bring me a turbo you don't need anymore, that is bigger then a HX35;) :D A cam wouldn't be bad either, and a better version of the VP44Oo. Oo. Oo.

By the way, has Merrick talked to you lately? Tell me what works good for you.

I spoke with Merrick tonight on the phone. I steered him to someone else. Your favorite place.

I'll see if I can round up a few goodies but don't hold your breath.

Better round off that camshaft first... . sorry I could not resist.

Don~

Andrew, I could not do much for him in time. I sent him up north a few clicks. In the land of the Hoe Head. Figured they might be able to help him out.

Don~

Amn, I go get a haircut, talk on the phone, change the coolant in my truck , and look what happens.

Yah,, I had a few "Tricks up my sleeve" but,, One of my sleeves got REALLY Small.

Don, Don't worry, LOL.

I still have a trick up my sleeve, One sleeve is Big, the other, not so Big. (Two tricks)

I'll dyno up there. I was talking to Don, and my HP goal was kind of "Lofty" Actually, he said, nobody has dynoed with as high HP goal as I have.

We'll see after I make a few phone calls how realistic I might be able to get my RWHP goal.

I want to suprise a few people at Muncie.

Merrick Cummings Jr

Oh, By The Way..... I just bought 4 tires (Used) to use at Muncie,, I don't plan on coming back with tread on those tires.

I plan for a Piers impersonation if anybody wants to bring a camcorder... .....

I did not know Don monitored every dyno in the country.

I dont monitor every dyno. Only the dynos that matter and 24 valves have never gone to 550 hp on #2 alone, yet. Merrick gave me his expectations on the phone and I just gave what I considerded to be an honest opinion of what to expect.

Hey, I even sent him up to your favorite place in Ohio. So who knows what he will make now:rolleyes:

Don~

Mark, thanks for the info today, I like the air ideas! Guess I just had to hear enough to convence me. Now I have to lay out a plan for the inital part and fix the fueling and the air. Don your E-mail sounded good just need to see what I can do as I need the other end too.

Take Care, Jim

Jim,

Your killing me and Matt man. :(

Don,

You are a fan of West Coast power right? So Merrick has what seems like an unreal expection(high) for hp so you send him to Ohio?:p ;)

Andrew

P. S. Don you know I'm just tugging at your chain right?:D

Merrick wants a component that is only available in the Mid-West.

I dont have anything against the vendors in the Mid-West. So, I sent him up there. If the Westerners would have been able to help him... . well you know the answer.

The Western shop I am a fan of uses real and repeatable methods to test for HP gains. Other shops dont. This is why I like the Western shop. The problem with not dyno testing components with a dyno that shows HP gains or losses is you never know exactly where you are in terms of performance.

The choice is easy for me. The HP wars are going on right now in Vegas. Everyone on the same dyno at the same place. Everyone was invited to attend the event. Even the Mid-West.

The results will be in soon and help to show who has the power and who does not. The fact that I drive my truck everyday and so does the Western shop guys is just another reason I pick them.

Their trucks are not caged up or trailered around.

Andrew

Im cool. Just explaining my position. Hope it did not rub you the wrong way. No hard feelings here. I joke all the time. ;)

Just ask Gene. :D :D LOL!!

Don~

Okay,, the Ohio boys.

E. E.

These guys have what I think it will take to make it to my 550RWHP goal. On an unmodified VP44,, no drugs, #2 only, no head work, no special cams.

After talking to Don, and Jim, I think what is going to happen is either, I won't make 550RWHP, or I'll run into traction probs, and the dyno won't show 550.

Jetpilot dyno'd at 511RWHP on #2 only,, and he has BD5's,, I'm going to have a different turbo, and bigger injectors,,,

Realisticly (sp?) I wiil be satisfied with ~525RWHP but will DEFINATLY be DISSAPOINTED with anything below 500RWHP

A P7100 24V can dyno WAYYY up in HP #'s but a VP44 can only go so far. "So far" is about 547RWHP.

Hey Gene, You want to compare clutches now that I won't be a little "low on power"? LOL Pullin' your chain Gene.

Personally I was thinking of pitting two competitiors turbo's together in a twin turbo setup.

(Of course in the future when I get $$ to port, polish and O-Ring my head)

I'm thinking of a hybrid h2e and a B-1 in a twin setup.

I've been told two things so far,, Alot of Lag, and, it won't work, the turbo's are too similar in size.

I don't mind the lag,, (Which shouldn't be more than an HX-40) But what I want is to be able to burn all the fuel I'm gonna be throwing the motor. With the injectors I'm getting, they will "Inject more fuel than a single turbo can burn"

I want to flow insane CFM,, I'll probly have to go with an aftermarket Intercooler with the PSI I hope to be running.

My $. 02
