Need Good Mercedes Shop in Washington state

Kenwood stereo rack

This() close to sledgehammer time.....

Pioneer VCR hook to the tuner, the TV, and the dish.

All I want to do is add another VCR, a Sony, into this mix, be able to watch what I'm taping, and not have to unhook anything.

Nothing seems to work!!

Help!!:mad:

are you wanting the vcrs to work independant of each other?? Otherwise, just take the output of one and hook to input of 2nd, then take output of second vcr and hook it to the receiver

do you have full view of the back... . two attachment points. . one for outside antenna source other for thruput cable/dish feed. . plug'in into the right one ?

Splitter

Put a splitter in the cable before the first vcr and run a line from it to the second, don't hook up the other outlet on the second vcr. That should put you back to where you were originally and recording on the second unit should not affect what you want to watch on the tv. On second thought, that doesn,t even make sense to me. bg

You can not feed from one VCR to another because of somthing called Macrovision which has been put in new VCR's for at least 10 years, it is to prevent the "pirating" of video tapes, it prevents the VCR from recording the signal the other is putting out

Hmmmmm...

I gotta wonder what Ol Sleddy is up to here. Maybe a edited version of his chasing off the high power Fords at Jessup last week. Or could it be he's finally going to enter the pirate video market with his own version of the Muncie Pull win?.

On a lighter note Gene,as they have said, you'll need a older VCR to do it from tape to tape due to the macro inserted into the newer vcrs. If your just wanting more tape time split the cable inputs and tape away. Now for just watching while taping, most times its cable into vcr and then into tv. I am certain if your using a satellite it will be cable from sat box into vcr and then to tv. However,it may hinder your ability to tape one show and watch the other.

Now for the vcr to vcr deal,if you need a older one let me know there is one downstairs capable of helping you. I have heard it works but know nothing of about it... ... ... Andy

I believe you can tape from one vcr to another - even on the newer ones. Hook the video/audio outputs on machine 1 to the video/audio inputs on machine 2. RCA cables are needed for this. Then tune machine 2 to aux front or rear (depending on which inputs you hooked into). You can then record on machine 2 whatever is playing on machine 1. I've done this kind of dubbing on machines that aren't old.

Got it, the old Pioneer has to be on channel 3 in the front, as well as the switch on the back.

Sweet!

6 Hours of my Muncie pull! No rewinding!
