Competition Dually Axle Questions

I am gathering info on building a drag/pull/work truck. I was wondering which year model 3500 dually axle is the strongest and how much power/torque will it take before it breaks. Also, what upgrades are available for the dually axle? Thanks guys.

As far as I know, all 3500 Dana 80s have the same 35 spline axle shafts. You can upgrade to a 37 spline shaft through Haisley Machine.

Not sure how much it will take to break one but I will let you know after this pulling season is over if my stock 35 spliners have broken... ... .

I went with a 96 2500 dana 80. It's a little more narrow than the dually rear.
