I believe that a Chassis Cab has a different frame compared to a pickup. GM/Ford/Dodge use the same frame mounting points so upfitters can install whatever on the brand the customer prefers.

No. I believe the CC has a narrower rear axle than a dually pickup (except for the SRW CC 3500)...need body builder access to verify.
