I've decided to change over my SRW to DRW. I've got 75% of the parts in my shop waiting for installation!!

#1- Are all beds from 03 to 08 the same? I know the tail lamps on later models are different. I hope not because I'm working a smokin deal for an 08.

#2- If I remeber correctly, the DRW uses a bigger caliper in which I haven't bought yet. Am I going to run into problems with the brake porportion valve on my truck?

Thanks

PS. All weight Nazi's, . . I know the converting a 2500 into a dually dosen't entitle me to carry heavier loads!

The beds from '03 through '09 appear to be identical. I doubt Dodge spent the money to modify the frames or beds for some minor reason. It's probably a safe bet they are w/ exception of taillights as you mentioned.

Actually, in the eyes of many DOT officers and scale operators you will raise your cargo carry and total weight on the rear axle limit because they often (but not always) calculate weights based on tires. I have had my VIN decal in the door frame checked at the Cheyenne, WY entry scale.

Please, if there is an expert out there that knows different, correct me... but, I've done this conversion already. I traded axles with another member. His dually axle for my 2500 SRW axle. I don't think there is any difference in the calipers. I know for sure we DID NOT switch the calipers. My 2500 SRW calipers bolted right onto the dually axle and I have had no issues with braking. -Trey
