Anyone one seen one on the lots yet?

Anyone order one?

I "THINK" I want one but I would like to know more.

I hope some hit the roads so there can be some real world usage so when the 15's come out they will have the system perfected.

I want to manually be able to control the ride height. Is it possible?

Can you tap into the air system and add air horns, air outlet for airing tires?

Inquiring minds want to know!

As for tapping into the air system, not likely. Itty bitty electric air compressor, probably barely enough duty cycle to maintain the system. You would have to upgrade the compressor and ad a tank or two.

For what you are thinking, you would be better off going with the Kelderman conversion kit on a leaf spring truck.

The air tank is filled with about 2000psi Nitrogen. The pump is for make-up to the system with outside air... air horns not advised. <G. (a subject covered by Stan Gozzi @ May Madness... if wrong numbers, blame my number memory, not Stan)

Yep,Stan covered this in detail at Maymadness. He said it cannot be for used for air tools. But would be a great option if it could be integrated for contractors and such, love the idea!!

Come on.....do it! Somebody has to be the first........

Well so far I don't like the answers but thank you!

Did he say if you could control ride height?

No not interested in being the first!

Well you already know my opinion in that they placed the air bags way to far inboard. Our Buick Rainier has air bags on the rear and they go on the same mounts at the Springs on Trailblazers.

I think Dodge is going for ride quality and Truck Campers will not be very happy just like the guy with the 2500 air bagger! How they do with a low COG load might be ok. Rainier wants to maintain the same height with or without load. So unless they sit low in the back without load 5th wheel users can not count on pin weight leveling the truck.

I am very tempted to adjust the links on the Rainier to make it ride level rather than tail high all the time!

Let someone else be first!

Chris

The heavy duties(3500) will use a compressor good for up to something like 250-260 psi.The nitrogen is only used when replacing a spring on the hd.Height valve on each side. There are 2 driving modes normal and trailer height, trailer is about 1 " lower than normal height.

All early info subject to change?

BUT, if they come OEM tail high like my Rainier and current trucks, then 5th wheel owners that count on the truck settling 3 inches or so to level it will not be happy or will be trying to adjust the ride height! Chris

The trucks sit level to begin with when they have air suspension. The trucks will have no rake to them unlike traditional pickups. So there's no need to worry about settling. That's what the engineers were talking about when the new Rams and frames were debuting. I think the engineers noted that actual driving ride height will have the tail end about 1" lower than the front end since it looks better from an aesthetic point of view.

That is not the info I have

From the sales info.

The vehicle automatically operates in Payload mode. When trailering, the ride height level can be controlled
via a switch on the console:
• In Payload mode (default-setting), the system continually monitors ride heights on both sides of the vehicle
and adjusts accordingly in case of load shift or changes in road surfaces
• In the selectable Trailer/Tow mode, the system lowers the rear suspension approximately one inch for a more
level alignment between the hitch and trailer tongue
Mode selection is graphically displayed in the Multi-View cluster display.

Gosh sag2... is that CTD ELEVEN YEARS OLD????? Or are you waiting for a 12/13/14? <G> Thanks for the input from the sales info. Really wish mine had it.
