Well when a po installed these new dually fenders on my crew, I guess he didn't wanna drill holes in them for marker lights. I feel the same way
. But since they are required, and more importantly look good and help remind you that you have a dually while going down skinny streets next to parked cars, I want to install them. I got what I needed from my shop. They are the 4" narrower markers model 19 with flat bases. I've installed these before but always on metal. They have one wire for power then get their ground from one of the two screws that hold the base down. So I guess not much of a ground on my fiberglass fender, I'd have to run a ground wire with ring terminal to the screw holding the base ?? I'm wonder how you guys would do it. I looked under DP's dually and looks like a metal bracket or something under it. Not there under mine. So I'll have to run some split wire loom or ?? Then find power and ground inside the frame rail? But should I use some sheetmetal screws with nuts to attach to the fender? I'm worried about cracking the fender when tightening them up or from drilling
. Heres a pic of one of the lights and base, I think its the same as oem. Thanks.
