I ordered some centramatics and plan to put them in when my 19. 5 Rickson's get here (hopefully tomorrow). I have read how they are somewhat loud at slow speeds and when they got here I could certainly see why.

My question is, I didn't expect the rear one to be so large and I am gathering it is installed between the duals. I'm not to sure I care for that idea or not. How much clearance is there between the ring with the "media" in it and the wheels/tires and how noticeable is the ring between the two tires?

Guess it may be no big deal, I'll just have to see it. I just don't like what my mind's eye is showing me.

I have them on my truck. The noise at slow speeds is only noticeable in the truck if the windows are down. It is not a real loud noise, just something different. As far as seeing the rings, they do not really jump out at you. The only person that has noticed mine was at one of the tire shops. I think you only see them if you know they are there and you look for them. I think they work. I have had no balance problems since I put them on.

Try running BB's in your tires for balance. It's hard to get a 40"x18" mud tire tire to balance well.

I do on my 4x4, and it works awesome, but it has a funny noise too... . when you stop, you hear the BB's falling from the tire and hitting the rims inside the tires... ... . you get use to it. Ting, Ting tingtingtingting... ... ...

I bet you hardly even notice the centramatics after awhile.
