If these are the wheels you are talking about they are simulators. :( I thought they were aluminum WHEELS but they are just caps over steel wheels. They do look nice but for what I paid you would think they could do better than hub caps. :D

The simulators have some advantages. They are cheaper to replace that the wheels and they don't have the corrosion problems the alloy wheels have. I think the new simulators look better than the old style did.

I just want to point out that if the original point of this thread is to put the 03 simulators on a 2nd gen truck, the 03 rims are 17" rims and I doubt they'd fit the 2nd gen.

Polite disagreement there.



I wrecked the right front wheel caps on a high curb back in '99 and called my dealer's parts desk how much they were. The center hub was $55, the outer skin was $167, for a total of $222. Remember, that does not include the wheel itself. In contrast, the Mopar forged aluminum wheel was just $193.



Ever since, I have been sporting 6 aluminum wheels with no rust or pitting at all. This pic was taken this past September.
