TDR Brethren-

What tire size and type are you guys going with on your dually with stock rims? I have alway been a big fan of the BFG all-terrain but I open to change. In addition I would like to go with a larger tire but have concerns with spacing in the rear. I am not really interested in using a "spacer" in the back so I am really looking for the max tire size other than a 235-80-17. I hate the "pizza cutters" it came with!! Let me know your thoughts... ... and thanks in advance!!

Kind Regards,

I have 265 70 17's Buckshots on mine with no spacers between the duals. I'v seen 315's on the stock rims with two inch spacers between the duals and two inch lift up front. My 265's are the same height as the oem.

MChildress ... thanks for the response. I am afraid to run with the 315's but the 265 sounds good. I am curious what is your spacing like between the duals when using 265's?? The reason I ask is because I have been pulling trailers every weekend with a lot of tongue weight which concerns me with the dual touching after loaded. Your thoughts... .

We were limited on 17 inch tires a couple years ago and the Buckshots are a load range D 3000 lbs at 65 psi. I pull 16,000 and have 1/2 inch clearance between duals at 60 psi. I have about 25,000 miles on them now and they are wearing good. When I get ready for new tires I will try to step back up the load range E's. I believe Michelin,Toyo, and Nitto have 265's in load range E now and I'm sure there are others.
