Does anyone make a 17" mud tires that will fit the stock rims on a dually? has anyone put rear spacers on to fit wider tires? any problem with the spacers?

going from memory, he did have a leveling kit, but i don't remember if he had spacers [but i think he did] he originally had 315/70/17 bfg a/t's under it but went to the ltb's to not stick out the fenders as much. i can't remember the user name though...

go to the readers rigs section, and look for turbojet he is the one with the big tires on the dually [did a quick search and found that]

I have a little over 20,000 on my truck, the boss lady had a nail in her tire so I took it down to the local Les Scwab tire store to get it fixed. While there I asked about tires for my dually they said that the only thing available was the stock Goodyear's. Other wise spacers and such would be needed. They also said each tire was running $190. 00!!!!

That is a lot of money in my book for tires that don't last all that long. Let alone I am not a good year tire fan. How would a 3. 73 geared rear-end do with a set of Rickson 19. 5's? I do run empty 90% of the time. Since I plan on keeping this truck for a few hundred thousand miles would this plan not be cheaper?

The Rickson wheels are a direct bolt on. Unlike the Alcoa wheels that need an adapter or something. When it is time to buy another truck 10 years from now Dodge could have dumped the Cummins or changed the rear axle, so the Rickson set up would not fit on said new truck. With the Alcoa set up needing the adapter thing I would have at least the potential of using the Alcoa wheels on the new truck.

If I am wrong please let me know, I am sure by next fall I will be in the market for new tires.

The only tire out there that is of any height and skinny is the LTB 34 x10. 5 x 17. I did run them, but they didn't balance up worth a crap. No spacers required. When you get to 11. 5 or wider you will need spacers. Hopefully someone will come out with a 35 x 10. 5 x 17.

I did a lot of research on the tires and kept coming back to the Rickson package. They have been on the truck for 4K miles now and they are great. I have 3. 73's and run empty most of the time. The mileage is up around . 5 mpg. The ride is a little stiffer, but not that bad. I am looking for some shocks and maybe some airbags in the back to soften it up a little... CJ

That is the baddest looking dually ive seen, and he says he has 37x12. 5x17 tires on it, but it looks like they are on the stock rims... if so I dont know how well that works because the tire would be about twice the width of the rim... any thoughts guys?

I also saw the red roadarmor dually with swampers on stock rims, but I dont know what size, ill post the link when I fiind it.
