Well I’m really thinking about taking my truck from a dually to a single. It just seems like there are more things that you can do to them to look better. I want to put factory alloy wheels on from a 2001 to 2005. Does anyone have pics of this being done from start to finish? What does have to be changed other than the rear fenders and front spacers? It looks like the rear axle hub sticks out father than a Dana 70 in a 2500 but the manual 2500 got a Dana 80. I want to use the factory center caps too, that’s why I’m asking about the rear hubs. Who sells a good rear disc brake conversion for a 99 model?

I saw a sport red dually the other day with an 8 inch Skyjacker and Swampers - doesn't get any sweeter than that! I'd stick with the deuce if I were you. I wish I had one.

Check out TDR Member Greg Boardman's truck in Readers Rigs. I think you'll find out what your looking for , or at least a start.

Mac

J. R. Adkins has a buddy who changed from a dually to a single. I saw it at Indy this weekend. I didn't really talk to him a lot about it. But I think the factory center caps are out because of the hubs. You might send him a p. m. and ask him about it.

If you change out your axle for a single, longer, I'm looking for a good used axle for a 99 doolie.

Cheers,

Steve J

It has about 128,000 but this thing is like brand new with all the parts put on it. Has new engine, trans, drive shafts, pcm, alt, brakes, sway bar, cap, bed rug, batterys, radiator, starter, front u-joints, steering gear, apps, it's like new now.

bring it on over and we'll just convert the two trucks... . mine is also white but does have a gray 2 tone at the bottom.
