i am looking for some type of spacer for my 99 3500. the stock tires are the small 215-85r16 load range e. i would like to go to a 235 tire size but have heard that under a load or towing the larger tire will rub on the inside. if a spacer is available, were could i buy something like this. thanks

I'm not sure if the rims ae the same, but on my 97, I run 235's, and even under load, they still have 3/4" or so between the tires.

I have 235s as well. I know another member here, who runs 235s. He's a hotshotter (camper toter). Just keep them aired up.

You can get the newer rims that the later 2nd gen dually trucks have. They have a deeper offset. You could run 255s on those. If you tow a lot or carry a lot of weight in the bed, I would be leary of spacers.

Don't know bout yours, but my 99 3500 2 wheel drive with 235's polishes the insides of both the rears without spacers. And I've run 90 PSI at times. Same tire on the front rubs inside fender full lock both directions. If I use um again I'll have a half inch spacer tween um.

Cheers,

Steve J
