I went with the DD 3850 with no regrets, the pedal is not too firm and still drivable for daily driving. The truck bucks a little when backing a trailer.

I daily drive the 4200 version and don't think DD's are as bad as a lot of people make them out to be. A little bucking when backing a trailer, like Black Pearl said, but the holding power is well worth it...

Ditto, I daily drove a SBC DD/3850 for a couple of years.

thanks so it sounds like I will be alot better shape than my old grumpy slipping FE. I know southbend's website is not up to date on specs not to me anyway. I thought the 3600 was lever or diaphram. I think those are at the 3800PL level so manly for the pullers. so the 3600 compared to the 3250 is the same except PL but either way I know I will be happy.

i run a solid hub 3850 dd ceramic and love everything except how noisey it is, people give me that look wondering what is about to fall off my truck when the pedal is pushed in lol i know real trucks rattle

Hate the bucking with the 5'er on backing up...

I've had 4 clutches in my truck, the solid center 3600 DD with12 cb was the best out of all of them,very smooth ( like stock ) even backing up with a load no problems i wish i had never removed it.

I've got a 3250 DD spring center 6 cb now, nice clutch very quiet but still jerky, not quit as bad as the FE
