I know this is a dumb question, but.

I had some work done on my 02 truck about a year ago. They replaced all of the hoses as well as the coolant. The coolant they used was a Fleetguard part number cc2825, which is cummins' diesel rated coolant. They said that coolant was needed for this cummins engine. (BTW, this is a highly rated shop and not a dealer)

Here is my question. I need to top off the coolant bottle just a little. Can I just add green coolant (prestone ?) that I can get from napa or obrians ? Or do I really need to get the cummins cc2825 ?

Thanks

If you already have a good 50/50 mix and only need a quart or so, I would just add some distilled water.
