Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Dumb question about adjustable boost elbows

Is it possible to set the adjustable boost elbow using an air compressor? By this I mean having a regulator on the air hose and then hooking the that into the boost elbow and then setting it for around 35psi.

First of all, the only dumb question is the one that goes unasked.

If you remove the elbow from the turbo, but leave the wastegate attached, you could apply shop air to the side you disconnected and then watch pressure (with your regulator) and then just adjust until the wastegate opens where you want it. Unless I'm mistaken, I believe it should work.
