Dumb question of the day-seat covers

Does anyone have a suggested place to buy seat covers for the rear seat of my new 3500 SLT (it has the upgraded “premium” 60/40 split bench seat in the rear). I have a 2 ½ and 4 ½ year old and I would like to keep the ground in messes to the bed, not the back seat (i. e. cracker crumbs that become a permanent part of the seat material and milk that…well, you can imagine what milk does in this heat). Does AutoZone (or other brick & mortar store) carry anything that fits or is it best to go to a web site. I just need something basic that will hold up.

Try --> Cabela's seat covers or CABELA'S rear covers. Just a quick search on thier website... might want to look there.

IIRC, Geno's carried some HD seat covers a while back, check it out. However, with darling lil' ones to contend with, even the most HD covers out there might have their work cut out for them ! :-laf

we have the cabela's seat covers on all of our trucks, even the ones w/ vinyl, we've used them for several years, they are water resistant and i can contest that they work, wet dogs, greasy employees and all, our seats still look new on 8 different trucks that have them, and they're cheap!!!, just make sure to get the medium width rear cover, the large is too big on a dodge... we use the black ones so you cant see the stains...

I bought some cloth front covers for my '04 from Wyckoff (wyckoffchryslerparts.com) one & a half years ago, and they're great. They are tough - I get in & outta the truck many times every day, and the driver's side is just now starting to wear a little thin at the edge. They fit perfect, and the coolest part - toss 'em in the washing machine with my carhartts & they're like new. I'm pretty sure Wyckoff carries them for the back seats, in fact, that reminds me; I've gone long enough with my 5 kids riding in the back without covers. Plus, the kids are sick of my "no food or drink, even water" rule back there. I don't know how these covers rate for $$$, but whatever I paid, it's well worth it.

Did you know your dealer has a set of Mopar seat covers that custom fit and are very well made. I've been happy with mine all 218,000 miles of seat time. Not to mention the "Ram" logo is in the head rest. That's right - they come with covers for the headrest.

Best seat cover I've used to date are wet okole's. . Made of neoprene and are water proof... been jumping in the truck with waders on for years... seats look brand new... they are a bit of $$ but if you know your going to get them dirty you can't beat 'em... I have a 2 year old and a new born... The covers look like hell but the seats are perfect... Cabella's has 'em but they are cheapest straight from the manufacturer in Hawaii... . you can goto www.wetokole.com to get pricing... .

When my kids were young we used plastic garbage bags first then the good old bath towels (color coordinated of course) and had great luck just throw themin the wash and youre good to go.

Thanks for all of the responses. MMeier, you are correct; I think the only thing that can withstand the toughest test - kids - is stainless steel with a Kevlar coating! We will check the sources provided and probably incorporate BDeMartile's suggestion, but use a plastic drop cloth as the "wet barrier" (it ony takes a few drops of milk in this heat to make the truck seat a total loss).
