this is probably one of the dumbest "duh" questions out there, but how do you get the center hubcap off of a '92 w250? i pulled and pryed, but i am stumped. tomorrow i'll have a imprint of my hand on my forehead when i finally know how!

thankyou:p

hubcap

The center cap just snaps on, there is nothing holding it except the tension of its' ring shape. I pry the outside chrome ring off first so as not to dent it while I pry off the center rim. If it will not come ,get more leverage with a bigger bar. It will come off. My only other suggestion would be to look at the rim very closely around the edge of the cap and notice the small ridges that hold against the cap. Pry right next to one of these ridges. Good luck.

I usually take a large pry driver (aka screw driver) and remove the outer ring first. Then you can pry uner the outer edge of the center ring. The ones on my truck usually pop right off. If that doesn't work you might try using a rolling head pry bar to pop the cap loose. Hope this helps.
