I might be dumb (if I am asking this question I guess I am dumb)

What are "ricers" and why are we hotting up our ctd's to beat them first out at the light?

thanks,

David

... ... . and the aftermarket or homemade wings on the trunk lids, gold plated wheels, spinners on the wheels... ... . The list goes on.

I even saw a wing made from plywood and 2x4s on a Dodge Neon. :p :-laf Talk about looking stupid.

My neighbor owns a small landscaping/snowplowing business and he sold his 93' f2504x4 with a 351w to buy a ricer Toyota truck with a V8. This guy is almost 21yrs old and thinks he knows it all because he worked at a Toyota dealer. He also had some TRD performance chip in his truck and says its pumping out over 300 ponies. Every time I see this guy he says, "when are you going to buy a real truck and quit farting with that old goat. " I replyed, "lets hook them up in a tug contest and see what happens". He said, "if weight wasn't the issue I wouldn't mind hooking them up". I told him that I'll give him that, and he went on comparing horse-power(how he has more). He also thinks he has a bigger engine (6 cyliner vs. V8). I felt like I was talking to a wall and I finally told him, "yea Don you're right you got me beat" . As long as in his own mind he thinks he's a hero then, I guess he is.

I thought I'd share that comic relief about ricers with you guys

Sounds to me like it's time for a 4BT/Dakota project to drag your buddies V6 around, A Dakota should way about the same as a Toyota and see what he says then.

Thinking outside the box :-laf :-laf :-laf

I prefer to call them fart pipes and shopping cart handles. :-laf We also need to be sure to get the clear tail lights on your list.

Partsman, this clown has a V8 Tundra. I think the Tundra is the full size truck

that Toyota makes. According to him it has 300hp stock. I think your right, the Dakota is compareable. But he won't settle for the Dakota he seriously thinks he's compareable to the fullsize Ram like mine. Don knows all the BS stats that he reads from the dealer and he even told me he has more hp. (Notice I said BS stats!) I tell you its like talking to a brick wall! You should see how funny this thing looks with the snowplow :-laf, he just hooked up the plow last night.

Don thinks I'm going to rush out and buy a Toyota because he braggs every time I see him on how its the most powerful in its class. He sounds like a typical salesman.

I'm just going to sit back and laugh it up :-laf !

I thought Nissans are the most powerful in their class now? (woohoo)

HP is a nice number comparison, but weed eaters make HP too.

I'm pretty sure that GM produced that toyo engine in california also... Tell him he's running a modernized 283 chevy and it will tear him up.
