H.D. Dump Trailers?

Cooker said:
The Liberty was pretty spendy. I don't remember the exact number but it was around $7000 for a heavy duty low profile 14' with a set of ramps.

The Titan was around $6400 for a similar trailer.

Were these prices for goosenecks or bumper pulls?

No Problem

I was referring to 20 yds of topsoil. When i haul gravel i can haul 23 ton legal which should come out to approx 17. 9 yds. I'd have to do the math on hauling feathers. I'm not running a tractor trailer.

Excessive Force, I just posted that info because lots of people sometime use yds and Tons interchangeably. An it does make a big difference when buying the right trailer and when Loading it.

A buddy of mine was using and taking care (for a couple of years) a mutual friends two axle dump trailer (I don't know the make) He called he as he had a tire blow and had to leave the trailer on the side of the road loaded. I went to help him out the next morning Blocked up the entire trailer and placed BRAND NEW Heavy Duty TIRES on it. Lowered in back down and took of for home within 200yds I saw smoke coming from the wheelwells. Turned out the axles had bent so the tires were toe'd out and the tire casing was rubbing the trailer frame. He had a load of TOPSOIL turns out it was real wet.

A week later as luck would have it his buddy returned and took back his trailer with the BRAND NEW Heavy Duty TIRES on it. Little did he know I had wanting to get home just placed my hyd Jack under the center of the axles and adjusted the toe-in and we drove home real slow after I used a hub cab to shovel more of the load forward to get some more weight on the truck

I think he is referring to a big truck.

I have a 2004 Peterbilt model 378 quad axle dump truck. It has a 19' box,and has 2 lift axles. I was posting in response to an earlier post about a big dump truck only hauling 12 yds max. It all depends on which part of the country you live in,as to how much they let you haul. I didn't mean to hijack this thread. :D

Starting price (16', 30" sides, 10ton scissors lift, tandem duals) is $8900. That one had removable sides and ramps so he could carry his skidsteer.
